BE the example of what you want to experience in your job or career. Life is more than just finding the career or employer that satisfies you – it is also about learning and growing through setting and accomplishing your own goals.
  #2
Master your self-esteem and build on it continuously. You are the best champion for demonstrating what you can contribute.  Recognition and reward from your employer or customers will follow as you consistently demonstrate your valuable skills, talent, and dedication.

Practice right-valuing your contribution. Monetary compensation is based upon knowledge, experience, savvy, commitment, and the market value of what you contribute.  Each year of experience can add value if you continue to grow and expand in your career and life skills.

Thank the teacher, parent, or other mentor that was tough on you. The workplace is competitive and the person who challenged you to excel gave you an opportunity to learn skills that can fuel your career and business success.

Remember that all jobs and roles in an organization are vital to its success. If you find yourself thinking that a job is beneath your dignity, remember that all jobs are necessary to the effective functioning of the organization. There are opportunities everywhere for you to show your commitment to the success of your company.  Try answering the question:  "What new and innovative way can I approach a job (big or small) that will benefit my employer and therefore give me an opportunity to shine"?
 #6
Take responsibility for any mistakes you make and learn from them. To be given responsibility in your organization you must demonstrate your capacity to take responsibility when it is rightly yours.  This means owning your successes and failures equally, however it does not mean taking the blame for someone else.  Being the type of person that can be counted on is a great way to establish and increase your value in your organization.

Find a mentor and Be a mentor. Those that have worked their way up through the ranks can be great mentors and examples.  Be a student of these people and recognize that all improvements in your life and the world start with one person – YOU.  First, BE an example of what you want to experience.  Resist criticizing those who have already accomplished much.  Then SHARE with others your knowledge and wisdom.

 #8
Always produce your best work. In business there are competitive standards for job competence.  Produce your best work at each and every task you are given.  Your dedication to quality will increase your workplace value.

You have the greatest influence on  your life, career, and work-life balance. Make and keep your commitments for being on the job, on time, and ready to work.  Make time to recharge your own energy.  Your employer is counting on you to help create the sales, products, or services they need to keep you employed.   |
